We focus on enhancing situational awareness, tactical command and control, and seamless video data exchange capabilities within a dynamic, multi-domain environment.

Job Description
Join our team as a Communication Security (COMSEC) Operator in Warrenton, Virginia. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of on-site personnel for the daily execution of a COMSEC operations center, providing crucial support for key distribution, cryptographic services for communication systems, and the management of Tier 3 equipment.This position is based on-site in Warrenton, VA.

Responsibilities:

  • Day to day operations for supporting Type-1 COMSEC key distribution and full life cycle management of electronic key requirements.
  • Provide cryptographic support of communication networks.
  • Provide daily interaction, to include troubleshooting and problem resolution to offsite locations in aspects of equipment and electronic key.
  • Daily use of Tier 2 distribution systems to include CARDS and KMI.
  • Monitor incoming requests for COMSEC related matters and take necessary action to address problems.
  • Updating and maintaining COMSEC equipment (i.e., STE, Viper, KG-240/250, RASKL KIK-30, SDS KIK-20, SKL AN/PYQ-10).
  • Support monthly COMSEC training classes and occasional facility tours.
  • Orientate new employees on customer's policies and processes.
  • Provide support to customer vendors.
  • Submit metrics as required by the customer.
  • Support system testing of new capabilities as requested by the customer.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Able to work full-time in Warrenton, VA at a customer site.
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Clearance. Security clearances are granted to US Citizens.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • In rare cases, ability to work non-standard hours to support mission critical customer needs.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years' experience with current COMSEC equipment and management systems:
    • Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) and iApp
    • Management Client (MGC)
    • Advanced Key Processor (AKP)
    • COMSEC Accounting, Reporting and Distribution System (CARDS)
  • Experience with electronic key ordering and distribution
    • Setting up and troubleshooting electronic key loaders for key receipt and transmission
    • TrKEK creation
    • iApp key troubleshooting
    • In-person key support to users/customers
    • Coordination with Other Government Agencies (OGAs)
    • Emergency key restoration
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent job experience
  • Active TS/SCI w/full scope polygraph
  • COMSEC Trained/Briefed
  • KMI Certified
  • Understanding and familiarity with a Central Office of Record (COR)
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal/customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and documentation experience
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to lead problem resolution
  • Willing to lead and perform as a self-starter
  • Able and willing to integrate self into an already existing, highly functioning, small team environment, and multi-task as required to achieve the success of the daily mission
