Duties & Responsibilities Could Include:
*Work with engineering staff to develop firmware as well as develop and run tests and simulations.
*Create test reports and experimental reports for engineering staff to review.
*Work on root cause analysis with engineers to identify next steps for "Maintenance of the line" and new product design activities.
*Work with component suppliers, manufacturing, procurement and quality to implement solutions to root cause analysis - as guided by mentoring engineer(s).
*Create prototypes of solutions for fit-up and test.
*Create hardware for test tools
*Possible travel to customer sites to evaluate product along with engineering staff.
*Be able to communicate in group settings.
*Be able to use the Microsoft suite of software: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
*Have a good understanding of electronic circuits as well as embedded firmware
*Write firmware and develop test tools in software such as C,C#,LabView
*Complete firmware/hardware testing
*Create firmware and hardware test plans and reports
*Able to work Monday - Friday during the summer with the potential of part time during the rest of the year.
Qualifications:
Experience: This position requires a minimum of 0-1 year of related experience.
Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Intern must be enrolled in an Engineering Bachelor's Degree Program (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related). Preference given to students entering their Junior or Senior year.
Physical Demands: This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment.
